We are three film students from Saint Joseph’s University seeking an actress to play the role of “Mary” in our upcoming short comedy film “Cuffed”. Cuffed is the story of Clay, an introverted and awkward rent-a-cop who tries to court his new co-worker while navigating his rough relationships with his domineering mother and rude customers.

We are seeking an actress to play Mary, Clay’s mother. Mary is a divorced, overbearing mother who wants nothing more in the world than to see her son Clay snag a good girlfriend (or just any girlfriend, at this point). She enjoys admonishing Clay for his diet, reading paperback romance novels, and tanning on her back porch.

We are seeking a white actress who can play ages 50-65. If you are interested in the role, please email us at cuffedfilm@gmail.com and include your resume and headshot. Also include whether you would prefer an in-person audition or one over Skype.

This is a non-union, volunteer production. Cast and crew will be provided with food and beverages on set as well as provide transportation if needed. Hope to hear from you soon!

Best,
“Cuffed” Team
