Seeking film editor:
Reading the scripts to understand the vision of the Director.
Reviewing footage and selecting scenes according to the vision
Trimming segments of footage
Meet with Director to establish the desired feel and look for the film
Improve video and sound quality using various softwares
Conceive of and produce solid transitions
Ability to address notes on your work
Work with Director in constructing act breakdowns and narrative arcs
Maintain the film’s organizational workflow within Premiere and cloud-based software
Make revisions as per the request of the Director
Proficient in color correction and color grading
Make creative decisions that contribute to the success of the final production
Capable of editing at various stages of post-production (Rough Cut, Fine Cut, Notes, etc.)
Work in Premiere is preferred
Must have your own computer, Internet access, and ability to work remotely
Flexibility with your hours
Strong sense of how music and sound design work together to assist in creating a compelling story
Understanding of and experience with post-production workflows
Meticulous attention to detail and time management
Ability to pivot, change plans and think outside the box
Great communication skills
Enjoys the creative process, and works well within a team
