Casting call for senior thesis short film at Temple University!
LOGLINE: Torn between attending senior homecoming and her family’s reunion, a teenage perfectionist stumbles upon a mysterious gateway to navigate both events at once.
LILY (F, 18-25)
A high school senior, ambitious to explore worlds of romance and adulthood. Her drive to please others sometimes overshadows her own desires. She must find the confidence to follow her heart.
BAILEY (F, 18-25)
Lily’s best friend, a senior in high school with curiosity surrounding her impending future. Kind and compassionate, she struggles to prioritize her own self-interest.
ELLEN (F, 35-50)
Lily’s mother, a mild-mannered woman whose love for her family is the center of her world. Her self-consciousness leads to heavy-handed guidance as her daughter grows up.
ELI (any gender identity, 18-25)
Lily’s classmate, president of the high school’s GSA. Their enthusiastic energy is channeled through mystical means as they work to help Lily discover her identity.
This is a non-union production that will shoot in the greater Philadelphia/South Jersey suburban region. Previous acting experience not required.
Compensation of craft services, credit, and travel/lodging guaranteed. Daily rate TBD; payment deferred.
Callbacks via self-tape will be requested in early November.
Rehearsals will begin in mid-November 2023.
Production will take place 5-6 days in late December 2023/early January 2024.
