Synopsis:
“Girls in Uniform” follows a sexually repressed junior at an all-girls Catholic school named Reagan Ryan. When she is selected as a contender for editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, she has 24 hours to prove herself more competent than her seemingly perfect arch-nemesis Caroline Early.

Reagan is a devout Catholic raised in a conservative household. Her father is putting her under immense pressure to prove herself to be smart and worthy and ultimately get into a top college. Nothing in the past has ever gone right for her. She has no friends and she is, frankly, unlikable.
[CAROLINE] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 18-22]
Caroline is a humanities-obsessed liberal. She has a strong resume: junior class president, editor of the yearbook, captain of the lacrosse team. But this job is the last thing she needs to get into Princeton, where her parents went. After Princeton, she hopes to become editor of the New Yorker. Being editor of the newspaper is the centerpiece of her 10-year-plan.

Alana is a senior at Immaculate Heart of Mary High School for Girls. She grew up in England and moved to Bryn Mawr when she was 16, and she quickly rose to the top of her class. She’s the sitting editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and Caroline is her top choice as her predecessor. Next year, she’s off to Harvard.

Sister Bernadette is the faculty advisor for the newspaper. She’s a nun, but quite rough around the edges.
