Double Faced is a Christian/Drama short film that talks about the struggles of a young man who suffers from paranoia to the point where suicide becomes, from his point of view, the only choice left. When he meets Mandy, a “too happy to be true” woman who won her own battles against evil, his life takes a drastic turn.
We want to promote the suicide hotline and got permission to use their logo and number getting their support. This project is not about money but about helping each other out. Unfortunately this topic is very common in our world. Filmmakers, writer and actors usually suffer from similar issues.
Producers Earl Stepp and Mike Whitehead are joining multi award winning director Giovanna Caruso in this good cause. Will you join us?
Locations are mainly in the Phoenixville – Oaks area so please make sure that traveling is not an issue.
CHARACTERS DESCRIPTION:
PATRICK: 25-30, skinny. Patrick suffers from a lot of mental illnesses so if you are not familiar with the topic do some research before submitting to this. I need an actor that has experience with dramatic roles and can take on a very complex role with personality and emotional swings. Self harm and other heavy topics are part of this script so for your own safety, make sure you feel comfortable playing this character.
MANDY: 22-26 Happy and positive woman with a dark past. She found the courage to keep going through God. Mandy is very religious but also accepting.
