The B.E. (Black Excellence) Film Festival and Film Showcase is a subsidiary of and produced by Brooklyn Media Publishing LLC. The Black Excellence (B.E.) Festival will be held June 17-18, 2022 at the legendary Showboat Hotel and Convention Center located on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk in celebration of the second year Juneteenth is recognized as an official holiday in the State of New Jersey.

The B.E. Film Showcase is one of the first Black Cultural film experiences in the Atlantic City, NJ area. This event discovers, supports and develops new talent in filmmaking, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. Recognizing the important role of Black Excellence and independent films have in the history of filmmaking, storytelling, and culture, BESFS wants to help empower the next generation. It is our aspiration to provide a brief glimpse into the world of film making and production requirements necessary to be successful in the film business. With an expected attendance of over 1K attendees at this historic event; having your project showcased during the festival is an outstanding accomplishment.

There is a wealthy itinerary of ” Keynote Speakers, Master Classes and Awards during this historic two-day music and film festival.

All submissions selected will be screened and judged at The BE Festival during the 2 day event. Once the submissions close; we will have reached our limit for the showcase.

All registered films will receive 4 free tickets to the B.E. Festival Market Place, Food Truck Park and Welcoming Film Session.

All Films will receive a 25% discount off vendor space during the event
(All vendor space must be reserved during the early bird special time frame use the BEFFS Code)

All registered filmmakers have access to the film listing section on the BlackShoppingNetworks.com for the discounted rate of $10.

Each film selected for the Showcase will receive the Official Selection Laurel.

A winning Film in each category represented will receive an award.

All attending filmmakers will have access to nearly 1k plus festival attendees to market and advertise their project.

Prize packages will be awarded by participating Sponsors.

All registered films will have access to discounted hotel stays for attending filmmakers and their guests.

As prizes and awards are added we will update this area.

ABOUT US

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

We are a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). GPFO, first established in 1985 as a part of Philadelphia city government, continues to reside within city offices.

In 1992, we became a regional economic development agency, incorporating in 2000 as the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
