MISSION: POSSIBLE is the brainchild of Jason Duff. He was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. Since 2007 he has served as a clinical psychologist in the United States Navy. He and his family have traveled the world and completed two overseas deployments. They continue to serve in the U.S. Navy and are based in the Washington, D.C./Virginia area. In May 2017 Jason was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was successfully treated through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During his long hours of treatment he often thought about how he could make a difference once he regained his health. It was then that he decided to launch MISSION: POSSIBLE.

MISSION: POSSIBLE (2018) was an all-out musical extravaganza with some of the best-known talents in the Philadelphia area partnering with local businesses to support the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia (CSCGP).

Our goal was to raise money, raise hope and raise awareness. I put forth that we were successful on all accounts. There was an abundance of love and support and hopefulness throughout the day. It was palpable and contagious. We raised $10,000 through this event. This money helped to ensure that CSCGP is able to continue in its mission of empowering cancer patients to regain control over their lives, as well as provide a safe, welcoming community of support so that no one faces cancer alone.

MISSION: POSSIBLE 2 is going to be an extraordinary event. There is going to be an incredible amount of talent in the room. We are going to help a lot of people and we are going to have a tremendous amount of fun doing so.

The event will be held at Xfinity Live’s Victory Beer Hall on March 24th from 2pm -9pm.

Entertainers include:
School of Rock Newtown, All Star Acoustic Jam (LauraLea, Rick Artz, Steve Turner, Cara Lynne, Mike Thompson, Richie Yusko), Monkey Bus Acoustic, The Brother’s J.A., Bonehead, Octane, Just the Tip, Gypsy Wisdom and DJ Brother Mike.

We chose CSCGP because they support local families dealing with cancer. They are so dedicated to providing their services that they are offered at no cost to avoid any impediments to receiving care. CSCGP groups and resources include support and networking groups, lectures and workshops, nutrition programs, mind-body wellness programs, creative expression programs and special programs for kids and teens.

This event will be a great success thanks to the backing of early supporters such as Desoto Audio, Kelly Markowitz Photography, Jason Diliberto Photography, RFM Photography, Superheroes4hire, the Philadelphia Union, Philadelphia Flyers, Brian Propp, Mission BBQ, 93.3 WMMR, Courtyard Philadelphia South, the Spirit of Philadelphia, G Love and Special Sauce, Candlebox and dozens more. With well over 500 attendees anticipated, numerous volunteers and multiple sponsors we hope to raise over $20,000 for the Cancer Support Community this year.
