URGENT – CASTING for Read Through of Animated Pilot

Hello everyone!

I’m looking to hold a virtual reading through Google Meet on Sunday, July 31st at noon EST for an animated sitcom pilot. Taking part in this does not guarantee casting in the final version of the pilot episode but will be heavily considered.

I’m posting this on behalf of my colleague, Markel Haralson, and myself, AJ Dwayne. We are two black professional wrestling enthusiast with film & theater backgrounds. For this project, Thunder Valley, Markel created most of the characters, the concept and will be the lead animator on this project, whereas I am the script writer, created a few characters and is a fellow performer portraying Cousin Sunshine.

Thunder Valley is a 3-D animated family sitcom, centered around JR Thunder, the #1 Contender for the World Championship and, more importantly, the “Head of the Family Table.” The show follows his travels through professional wrestling while navigating fatherhood, his marriage, mentoring his rookie Cousin Sunshine, dealing with his rivals and much more. It’s suppose to marry the wholesome nature of the Huxtables with the challenge of being a black pro wrestling family.

This is a voluntary project; we are not providing compensation for this time, but are hopeful to connect with people we can have in mind with on various projects, including this one. Thank you for understanding in advance. We’re just two creative wrestling fans that wanted to build something unique for this crazy world of wrestling that we’ve grown up watching.
