TV Production Internship Fall 2021

Glass Entertainment Group is looking for Fall interns:

Glass Entertainment Group is an award-winning television innovation offering a fresh creative style for cable programming, broadband and web production.

We work in both standard and high definition with full post production facilities and a special effects studio. Clients include: HGTV, DIY, A&E, Oxygen, CNN, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and many more.

Requirements: Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students at an accredited college or university with a focus in the Communications/TV/Film/Video/Media. We offer a 15-week internship during Fall & Spring semesters or a 12-week internship during the Fall. Seeking full time interns or at the very least part time 2-3 days/ 18 hours per week. School credit is required. Staff will work with the school/advisor on achieving desired learning outcomes and completing all necessary paperwork. This internship is unpaid.

Interns will rotate every couple of weeks and work on a variety of tasks in several departments including but not limited to:

Pre-Production/Production: During their time with the Pre-Production/Production team, the interns will work under producers, production managers and production coordinators handling tasks such as aiding in location scouts, transcribing, researching for upcoming shows, assist with coordinating production shoots, sitting in on meetings; etc. Interns will also have the opportunity to go on a professional set and help Producers with the shoot.

Post Production: During their time with the Post Production team, the interns will work under both the Director of Production & Post Production Coordinator. The interns will be handling tasks such as transcription, assisting with deliverables, learning basic avid and helping AE’s with projects. They will also have the opportunity to sit in on edit sessions and screenings.

Development: During their time with the Development team, the interns will work with the entire team to develop new show ideas. From researching new show ideas to writing treatments, interns will learn how to turn an idea into an actual TV show pitch. Interns will learn about what networks look for in their programming and how that translates into making their pitches sellable. Opportunities in development may include sitting in on network calls, writing case summaries, researching topics for shows, and reaching out to prospective talent.

Digital: Participate in the marketing strategy and research around Company’s digital apps. Research and develop digital / social campaign ideas. Assist with pre-production and production on digital productions. Working directly with Business Development team on current projects and deadlines.

Each intern will be given a direct report in each area and will report to the Internship Supervisor for the overall internship in regard to scheduling, mentoring and problem resolution.
