PAGING LOCAL ACTORS

The production team from Best Ghost Video, LLC., is fresh off its successful release of horror-comedy feature-length film “LACED.” After admission to and a fun screening in the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival (PIFF), we’re onto the next project!
“Tonight Returns” is a short horror film about Sadie, a traumatized twentysomething still trying to put her life together after her family was brutally murdered one year prior. The film takes place in 2007, with outdated and cringy fashion trends abounding. Here is the IMDb page for “Tonight Returns.”

Character Breakdowns are as follows:

1. Sadie (20’s) – Sadie is a highly traumatized and damaged character after surviving such family tragedy. She’s medicated, disconnected and brooding, understandably still lost in a dark time in her life. She’s a prudish bookworm with a lower-middle class upbringing now fending for herself. She is infatuated with Blake, despite their having nothing in common (NOTE: There is a shower scene where nudity NOT shown, merely implied. The visual will be similar to a shampoo commercial).

2. Jill (20’s) – Jill is a Mean Girl. She’s wicked, sneaky and devilish and plays cruel practical jokes as a form of bullying. She does a lot of “fake nice” to people she superficially values or envies. Her nastiness in unchecked, over the line, and borders on sociopathic tendencies. She’s a “rich b*tch,” overly privileged and very spoiled, and she secretly struggles with her academics.

3. Blake (20’s) – Blake is a pretty boy rich kid without much personality, but he’s good-looking and has been known to turn heads on a purely superficial level. He is Sadie’s crush, if not obsession… or is he bait?

4. Killer (20’s) – This is a big, hulking imposing figure. We’d love someone tall and husky or muscular to play this part. This character is a masked menace with no lines, but his unmasked face will be featured in one scene, laughing wickedly.

Colin Marshall, writer and director of “LACED,” will be directing this short film. View his IMDb page here.
