Synopsis of Price of Love
Price of Love is the story of Umberto, who is dealing with his weathering marriage when he learns that his small business has gone bankrupt. After taking out loans from some unforgiving lenders, he is forced to turn to unconventional ways of making back the money. How far will he go to get the money he needs to keep his business afloat — and save his crumbling marriage?
Character descriptions:
UMBERTO (M; any race; age 40-45): Owner of small Italian bakery; borrowed money from a sketchy source to pay for it, and is now being threatened. Husband of Suzie. Heavy build.
SUZIE (F; any race; age 40-45): Works at family-owned bakery with husband, Umberto. Unhappy with her life and with her marriage. Thin build.
LESLIE (M; any race; age 35-40): Pimp that works at a strip club with his partner, James. Sleazy and harsh.
JAMES (M; any race; age 35-40): Pimp that works at a strip club with his partner, Leslie. Sleazy and sarcastic jokester.
WAITRESS (F; any race; age 25-30): Washed up waitress at a strip-club.
