Hi there,
My name is Simone Adriaanse and I am looking for an Afro-Latino actor between the ages of 17-20 (there can be room for flexibility depending on submissions so please do not get discouraged from auditioning) to play the role of 18 year old Levi Gonzales in my student microbuget film ‘Wonderboy’.
‘Wonderboy’ is a film heavily inspired by my younger brothers senior year of high school, and has a goal of exploring the chaos and catharsis of being eighteen and having to balance the expectations of the adult world, with the world you would like to create for yourself. For my brother personally, this had a lot to do with having to choose between being a college athlete specifically for wrestling, or going into the military. There will be references to both of these topics in the film.
Because this is a microbudget project, I am working with very limited funds and cannot promise pay at this time, however if the film ends up making profit after release and submission into festivals, pay is absolutely negotiable. Additionally food will be provided on shoot days, as well as compensation for any travel.
If by any chance you are coming from the Philadelphia area, there is a possibility that transportation can be provided for you as well via either Septa and/or by car.
