Seeking ACTOR/ACTRESS (AGE 50+)

I am in the final pre-production stages of casting for a feature film, BACKSTAGE.

This film focuses on the backstage life of community theater. It will highlight the behind the scenes chaos and shenanigans that occur as this fictional theater prepares to put on their show. It’s an ensemble cast that will be a comedy/drama.

I am looking for two NON-UNION actors to fill in the remainder of my cast. Actors will be given a small stipend for their involvement. LOCAL HIRE ONLY. Travel and housing will NOT be provided. Filming will be in Middletown, DE.

What am I looking for?
SHANNON: FEMALE. ANY ETHNICITY. AGE 50+ One of the co-stars of the production. Very diva-like and demanding. She expects people to fix her problems at her request. Causes friction with other actors in the show.
HENRY: MALE. ANY ETHNICITY. AGE 50+. One of the co-stars of the production. He is a veteran to the stage, and a necessity to the show. But he is a semi-functioning alcoholic. He speaks enormously, almost “bigger than life” with big stories to cover up his lack of soberness.

About the Production:
This will be a 14 day shoot. Filming will be around August 21 – September 3 (give or take).

Availability MUST BE FLEXIBLE.

Must meet these requirements:
1. Non-Union
2. Vaccinated for COVID-19
3. Local Hire only (filming in Middletown, DE)
4. MUST be available film during the week and weekends
5. MUST be able to film in the EARLY mornings into the late afternoon.
6. MUST have little to no conflicts. This is a large ensemble film. It will be difficult to honor conflicts in an ensemble piece.
