Broke is a short film about an older man (Len) who feels obligated to give everything to his formerly estranged daughter, forcing his older sister (Mildred) to decide whether helping him financially is actually helpful or just fuel for his daughter’s manipulative tendencies.
Len (65+) – a kind, lonely man who is confined to a bed in a rehab facility due to chronic mobility issues
Mildred (65+) – a put-together, emotionally distant woman who can be blunt but cares about her family
We’re scheduled to shoot 5/19 and 5/21 in West Philadephia.
