CASTING for Juniper Spring
Juniper Spring: In a fascist society where abortion is completely illegal, a pregnant young woman finds freedom through the help of an underground organization.
Casting for these roles:
AMARA, female, 22-26, Latina (all ethnicities considered). Protagonist. Distant, outsider, longing for purpose. Nervous but strong-willed, desperately in need of an abortion.
CAMILA, female, 22-26, Latina (all ethnicities considered). Friend of protagonist. Kind and caring, but ultimately fearful and obeys the rules of society.
RICHARD RUBIN, male, 45-55, white, Secondary Antagonist. An overbearing, entitled, condescending, rude boss who maintains power through oppressing others in the news.
WATCHER, male, 35-40, white, Antagonist. Close-minded, meat-head, misogynist. Narcissistic fascist who views his actions as virtuous.
CYPRESS, female, 35-45, any race/ethnicity, helps/guides protagonist. Strong-willed, tough, independent, leader, but has a tragic past. Ultimately good but willing to go to extremes to defend what she believes is right.
