We are closing in on 4 weeks from filming this racial equity short film, our passion project for kids. Emmy and Golden Globe nominated producer Doug Claybourne, (The Fast and The Furious, The Mask of Zorro, Rumble Fish) and his team are seeking DIVERSE, COMMUNITY MINDED and EXPERIENCED crew to work with us on our non-profit, SAG ULB short. This is a racial equity and inclusion, original fairy tale for K-6 kids, the RAINBOW PRINCE PROJECT.
It is also a five year hands-on /// journey from the heart project and not a typical work for hire money gig. Filming six (6) days beginning July 24 in and around Solebury and Arcadia University with 30 key cast/crew in a bubble from the 18th of July thru July 30th. Meals and room provided.
George Lucas and wife Mellody Hobson recently made a key donation from the Lucas/Hobson Family Foundation allowing us to move forward. Another local donor took us home. Ziggy Marley has provided music for the teaser and the film.
Our intent is to make something unique and memorable for kids. We have created this original fairy tale, flipping the Sleeping Beauty script, to go into K-6 classrooms to encourage kids to talk about their heroes, diversity and race. Prep is Deferred /paid Shoot. Minimums hourly for the obvious reasons. Covid plan submitted to SAG.
