When an impulsive woman takes care of her grandma with dementia for the weekend, things take a turn for the bizarre.

Synopsis

Cindy has promised her mother that she would spend the summer living with her grandmother. Feeling a little reckless and impulsive, she seeks out a fling with the neighbor, ignoring some of the more troubling signs of dementia in her grandmother.

Grandma Jung Ja (60+ Asian woman)

This matriarch is a tough cookie who loves her independence, fresh fruit, and little white lies. She grew up during wartime and migrated to America in her twenties where she raised her family. She now lives a leisurely life of solitude in suburban New Jersey, where her family worries she may be losing her marbles.

Cindy (24-34 years old, Asian woman)

Cindy is majorly burnt out from grad school. Secretly she knows that jumping straight back into academia may push her over the edge. To cope, she’s allotted the summer for loafing around at Grandma’s house. Mainly time spent on drugs, general hedonism, oh, and in the time left over, trying to manage the symptoms that she fears might be indicative of her Grandmother’s oncoming dementia.
