Simmer, a student short, is looking to cast a minor supporting role for the character Oya!
Oya (Any gender, 18-40, African-American) An aspect of main character Carter’s subconscious. They represent his suppressed anger, his violence, his chaos. They are controlled, mystical, and brimming with a subtle power.
The short film will follow a day in the life of high school student Carter Williams as his poem illuminates the emotional intricacies of his life following the death of his mother.
