Maria Gonzalez #1 – (Hispanic, Female, Early-Mid 20s)
David Leace’s fiancée, Maria, writes for Ms. Magazine’s feminist column. She is a devout Catholic who is very committed to her religion. Maria is fiercely loyal to her family, and she has high standards for her relationship with David and the strain from their respective families that comes with having distinct racial and religious backgrounds.
Qualities: Intelligent, sassy, serious, hard-working, caring, ambitious, and resilient.
David Leace #2 – (Jewish, Male, Early-Mid 20s)
David is a devoted Jew who has a solid commitment to his faith. He is an anxious and kind man. He has a desire to satisfy others when it comes to his mother. David experiences internal conflict and tension in his relationship with Maria regarding their religious affiliations.
Qualities: Direct, caring, anxious, people pleaser.
