I am seeking 4 male actors to be in my student film, The Nerds.
Project Synopsis: Two comic book shop workers stumble upon a high value comic, and debate what to do with the comic.
Tentatively, you will be filming inside of a comic book shop, any location changes will be updated as such.
We plan to shoot from May 17th – May 19th, exact times till being determined.
During the project, you will be fed meals as well as snacks during shoot times. You will also be credited for your work and sent a Final Cut for your acting reel.
We are seeking actors for these roles:
KEVIN, 25, manager at the comic book shop. He forces Dale to help clean the basement, and when they find the high value issue, he wants to turn it into the boss. Kevin is very “goody two-shoes,” believing that him turning in the issue will lead to respect from the boss and a possible promotion.
DALE, 27, clerk at the comic book shop. Very lazy, okay with the bare minimum, and likes arguing with customers. When finding the comic, Dale wants to keep the comic, sell it, and pocket the cash.
ANGRY COMIC GUY, 37, your textbook stereotype of a comic nerd (he’s described as the same character from The Simpsons. He appears in the opening, and is steadfast on his beliefs that diversity is ruining comics.
THE BOSS, 50, owner of the comic book shop, appearing at the end, and is the definition of cool (a very loose one at that).
