Filmmaking collective Midnight Monolith is seeking an actor for the role of CLARKE (male, late-20s to late 30s), for their next short, a post-apocalyptic thriller entitled Genesis Valley.
The shoot will take place from 03.25.24 to 03.29.24 in Tafton, PA – a small town in the Poconos. Food and lodging will be provided for the duration of the shoot. If necessary, transportation will be provided. If you prefer to provide your own transportation, you’ll be compensated for the cost of travel.
While the production schedule has not yet been designed, the script will necessitate long days – we plan to shoot exteriors in the very early morning, break in the midmorning, shoot interiors in the afternoon, and more exteriors in “golden hour.”
Actors playing CLARKE will arrive in the evening of 03.24.24, so they’ll be ready to shoot by 03.25.24.
We plan to have one rehearsal in mid-March, at which an intimacy coordinator will be present. Said rehearsal will be no more than two hours, and scheduled based on all actors’ availability.
We are offering $1,000.00 to the actor who will play CLARKE.

Auditions will be held:
Sunday, November 5th, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Saturday, November 11th from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Sunday, November 12th from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Once your timeslot is confirmed, we’ll send you the audition location, the script to the short, and two audition monologues.
The audition will be 30 to 45 minutes, and consist of a discussion of the script with the production team, and your reading of the two monologues – memorization is not necessary.
