Where actors will be working:

We will be working in my apartment in the West Philadephia area. We will also require a few shots at the local Old Nelson/7-Eleven which is located just a block or two from my place. Conditions will be warm inside, but dress expected for outside weather.

When is your shoot?

I aim to shoot the project between the second and third week of February. Most of my free days between classes land on Monday’s and Friday’s. I’m aiming to shoot on these days during the week, but be prepared for possible weekend shoots.

For how long?
This project should take no more than a week or two to shoot. the turn around time is very quick, and I need actors who are able to learn their lines quick and efficient. I will compensate actors with snacks/drinks, as well as a copy of the final project among completion.

Brief description:

The Glass Half Full is a senior short film about Cassie, a woman in her twenties living with her scummy boyfriend Shawn. Shawn is a slob, he doesn’t clean up after himself- he’s even living rent free in her home. We follow Cassie’s journey as she learns that sometimes you don’t need someone else to make your life complete.

Actors needed:

Cassie- Early to mid-twenties. Cassie is a go-getter, but in the same breath she puts herself in the company of people who don’t support her. Cassie has never been made to feel like her efforts are enough and she’ll do just about anything to prove that she is (even to the people who don’t necessarily deserve it). She’s anxious in nature, and often finds herself in states of dissociation which cause her to question the integrity of the relationships she holds close.

Shawn- Early to mid-twenties. A total slacker. Shawn is a freeloader who takes from just about anyone who he comes in contact with. He has little regard for anyone aside himself and his personal desires, and spends most of his time playing video games or smoking. If you’ve ever tried to have a conversation with someone who constantly has their head in the clouds, it would probably be him.
