In serious need of actors who will be available during the dates of August 26th-28th for a student coming of age short film titled Wonderboy being shot in and around Blue Bell and Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Each actor will only be needed one day out of the three and has to provide their own transportation. And although compensation cannot be provided at this time, food and other amenities will be. Also, any funds that are made post production are anticipated to go straight to cast.
The roles we are looking to fill are:
Dylan– Best friend of the lead character Levi. Dylan is often the voice of reason and very insightful despite being a rough and tumble kid who comes from a slightly complicated home life. If anything that’s what makes the bond between him and Levi so strong due to his ability to always understand.
Looking for a Caucasian male actor who can play the role of a high school senior, and has a very athletic built with somewhat of a “douchebag” look, but knows how to play the role of a teddybear. Shaggy blonde hair is a plus, but not required, as is little to no facial hair, but slight scruff is ok.
Charlize– Levi’s little sister. Charlize is fiery and often the life of the party at all times. She walks to the beat of her own drum, often causing her to get herself into a lot of trouble, but that doesn’t stop her from being her truest self anyway.
Looking for woman of color about 5’7 who can pass as an Afro-Latina sophomore in high school.
Actors should be comfortable with improve or have the ability to learn lines very quickly. We understand this is a lot to ask in such a little time frame, but this is a project very near and dear to the directors heart, and we want to create an atmosphere in which you are aware of just how thankful we are to have you help this vision.
