Cultured Kinfolk aspires to be the Urban Outfitters of the African Diaspora, viewed through an Afro-Latina lens. Since 2020, we’ve been offering “Modern Artifacts” in the form of music icon tees, home decor, and accessories that celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of the African Diaspora, the global south, and beyond. Our products tell the stories of vibrant, living cultures that gave rise to legends like Celia Cruz, Sade, and Miles Davis, as well as contemporary stars like Rema.

Cultured Kinfolk is seeking a talented and creative Videographer to join our team on a contract, hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filming and editing a variety of video projects, including interviews, short documentaries, and content for TikTok/YouTube shorts.

Key Responsibilities:
Shoot and edit high-quality video content, including interviews and short-form projects.
Work on creative projects such as short documentaries, TikTok/YouTube Shorts shows, and more.
Collaborate with the Cultured Kinfolk team to conceptualize and execute video content aligned with our brand’s aesthetic and message.
Utilize personal video equipment, including a drone camera, to capture unique footage.

Qualifications
Proven experience in videography, including both shooting and editing.
Access to and experience with personal videography equipment (including drone camera).
Strong creative vision and the ability to work independently.
A passion for storytelling and creating visually compelling content
Experience in visual storytelling and capturing cultural narratives
Knowledge of post-production editing software is a plus
Interested in African & Latinx history is a plus
