PAGING LOCAL ACTORS
The production team from Best Ghost Video, LLC., is fresh off its successful release of horror-comedy feature-length film “LACED.” After admission to and a fun screening in the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival (PIFF), we’re onto the next projects!
“The Living Dead Girls” is a short film about two best friends who become vampires after a drug-fueled journey in the forest. Here is the IMDb page for “The Living Dead Girls.”
Character Breakdowns are as follows:
First, both characters are alike in many ways. They’re wild and wicked besties, young twentysomethings with a “faux-punk” style, belying their upper-middle class, suburban upbringing. They were both bullied and put down in school and have since rebelled against the system that enabled it. They’re tough on the outside, soft on the inside—a couple of kitty cats who’ve learned to act like lions.
They’re drug adventurers, wandering on a spiritual journey in the woods. They’re kindred spirits: best friends, co-dependent, inseparable. They’re yin and yang, with the following differences:
1. Naomi (20’s) – Naomi is “the driver.” She leads the duo, and follows through on their quests to make sure they achieve their tasks and fulfill their ambitions. She’s determined to find meaning at the end of their journey. She’s determined and more outgoing, and she does the talking for both of them.
2. Katz (20’s) – Katz is “the rider.” She’s a dreamer and has great ideas, but she can’t see them through. For that, she needs Naomi. Katz might be the smarter of the two, but she’s more unpredictable emotionally, more unstable, and more timid with—and threatened by—people outside their tiny, two-person circle.
NOTE: Actors must be okay with (not allergic to) makeup department fake blood
