Luke – A young father to a 16 year old girl, Alise. Also the owner of the bookstore where the story takes place. Luke has never been a forwardly present father, but in recent times with his wife leaving him, he begins to realize his duty. Not only this but some genuine interest in his daughter’s life.
This story is meant to be sweet and simple. It’s somewhat coming-of-age, but mostly to watch this father and daughter learn how to become more than strangers when they realize they are sharing a mutual loss.
