Casting “The Toms,” a dystopian black comedy where, in a world run by Toms, a man named Tim tries to infiltrate their secret society because he feels that his name is close enough.
Roles
Tim (Lead): Male, 30-38
In a world run by people named Tom, Tim feels left out. He wants to be part of their world. He wants to be accepted and allowed entry into their literal club. Tim is a bit neurotic, jumpy, and goes to the extreme length of changing his identity and physical appearance.
Bouncer (Day Player): Male, 31-40
Guarding the Toms’ literal club, the Bouncer only allows properly-named guests, people named “Tom” spelled T-O-M, to enter the club. He believes himself to be an intellectual and speaks with labored highbrow sophistication, although he confidently mispronounces words in attempt to sound more intelligent.
