We are making demo videos for our outreach and educational programs on healthy relationships and sexual assault. The actors will memorize scripts to be read with a partner in front of a camera. The content addresses healthy/unhealthy relationships as well as a narrative describing two different perspectives about a “hook-up.” It is not graphic but does delve into the issues surrounding sexual misconduct/assault. We also welcome videographers and camera operators.
Participants receive credit for their volunteer contribution, and there is the possibility for some to join our presenter team who deliver the full program at high schools and colleges both locally and throughout the country. We have several students who have gone on to present at over 100 schools!
We are also in need of voiceover actors for our documentary project, From Silence to Shout, telling the story of Katie Koestner and her work as an agent of change. Voiceover actors will be recorded reading actual letters that have been sent to Katie over the past 30 years. Katie Koestner appeared on the cover of TIME Magazine at age 18 as the first person in history to speak out nationally and publicly as the victim of “date” rape as opposed to “stranger” rape. Katie was also the subject of an HBO movie and has appeared on over 200 TV and other media outlets.
The shoot is in Wayne, PA on Friday, July 23rd from 10am to 6pm. Participants need to be at least 16 years old and have transportation to/from the shoot.
