Casting Call
A short film at Temple University
Logline: A mother with bipolar disorder must return home after a severe manic episode to find her unresponsive daughter.
JO (F, 30-40)
A mother with bipolar disorder who’s negative habits lead her to being absent in her daughter’s life. She strives to be less impulsive to improve her relationship with her daughter.
LIZ (F, 18-25)
Jo’s teenage daughter, worn down and exhausted by her mother’s habits. She is torn between leaving home or giving her mother one more chance to improve.
This is a non-union production that will shoot in the Philadelphia region. Previous acting experience not required.
Compensation in craft services and credit guaranteed. Monetary payment disclosed upon request.
Actors will be invited to submit their audition via self-tape by EOD 2/25. Callback/chemistry read session will be scheduled in-person in Philadelphia.
Production will run approx. 5-6 days in mid March.
