Logline:
A lonely corn farmer feels abandoned when his son leaves for college, but finds an odd companionship in his scarecrow.

Character info:
Richard Jenkins is a 49 year old corn farmer living on his own for the first time. His son has recently left for college and his wife passed away years ago. He feels abandoned on his beloved corn farm and is in need of company. To his surprise, his scarecrow inexplicably shows up alive in his kitchen. While at first he was afraid of the scarecrow, it’s so pathetic and helpless that he can’t help but care for it.

This is a paid short film. Shooting locations are out of the city, meals and transportation will be provided. $150 flat rate. Must be able to wear contacts for one scene. Local Philadelphia actors preferred.
