Mary is a talented, serious actress in her 20’s. The film she’s in is about female empowerment, but after the director yells cut and we see what goes on behind the scenes, the irony in how she’s treated becomes clear.
Mary is attempting to address issues she see’s with the script, but the director and other crew members overlook her ideas and objectify her.
