Preliminary casting call for a junior thesis short film at Temple University. This is a non-union production that will shoot in the greater Philadelphia region.
Rehearsal will begin in January 2023. Production will take place 2-3 days in February or March 2023.
LOGLINE: Probing her inner psyche, a concert pianist relives her most potent memories in a dream featuring a former mentor.
ARIA (Female, 19-24)
A young woman with a passion for classical piano. Curious and stubborn, she constantly seeks to improve her skills. Evan’s mentorship feeds into her desire to please others. She must find a way despite these obstacles to revive her once powerful love for music.
This role would require solo classical piano performance. Actress must have intermediate proficiency on the keyboard.
EVAN (Male, 25-40)
Aria’s piano instructor. Approaching his mid-life, he seeks to light a fire under his young students and make them as great as he’d once hoped to be. His arrogance toward reaching this goal sometimes overshadows his judgment when interacting with the students.
This role would require solo classical piano performance. Actor must have intermediate proficiency on the keyboard.
