Expressway Cinema Rentals is a leading photo, film and video equipment rental house with multiple locations in Philadelphia and Upstate New York. Expressway is currently seeking to fill the full-time position of G&E Department Rental Agent at our Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA. As our G&E Department Rental Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for all productions in regards to their Electric, Grip, Production Supplies and staffing. The G&E Rental Agent will work under the supervision of the G&E Department Director. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in production, specifically in regards to grip and lighting. The Rental Agent is Expressway’s main line of communication to a production and must be able to work quickly and effectively to ensure a client’s needs are being met. The ability to stay well organized and detail oriented is key to success in this position. Previous customer service or producing/coordinating experience is a plus. Expressway is looking for someone who is a self-starter and is committed to becoming an integral part of the Expressway brand. The Rental Agent is one of the most well known employees at Expressway and must be comfortable with forming strong relationships with our clients, vendors, and crew. Someone who is a fast learner is encouraged for this position in order to gain knowledge of our diverse client base and product offerings. Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Serving as the primary rental contact for all orders taking jobs from inquiry through invoice

Providing above and beyond customer service to existing and potential clients from students to major motion pictures

Scheduling preps, returns, and exchanges for each job with the warehouse.

Assisting the communications and accounting departments with billing and account set up.

Resolving equipment shortages with transfers, sub-rentals, or purchase orders

Working closely with Expressway’s other branches to ensure seamless continuation of inventory and consistent service between all Expressway locations.

Ensuring all orders are quoted accurately and jobs set out clearly for our warehouse team

Fostering new and maintaining existing relationships with clients and crew

Working closely with crew and production to ensure all needs are met for orders to be executed accurately on time and on budget.

Providing staffing services for productions.

Publicly representing Expressway throughout the industry and participating in local meet ups, community outreach/events, and connecting with the industry outside of office hours.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years experience working in film/tv production preferred

Knowledge of most industry standard grip and lighting equipment and applications

Exceptional customer service and responsiveness

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong personal organization and time management skills

Ability to work under pressure and delivery consistent results

Experience with Flex Rental Solutions is a plus
