‘Nights With Alice’ is a silent film about a woman helping her friend through depression, which leads down a dark road of trauma, narcissism, and romance. This is a paid passion project directed at the festival circuit, and contains heavy subject matter. Shooting will likely commence before March 2024.
The film will look and sound modern, but the camera will be out of hearing distance whenever people talk, leaving them muffled. Such as “looking through a rain smeared window”. It’s a very rapidly paced film with many shots.
Gear isn’t an issue, the director is an experienced DP, has a considerable camera, lighting, and sound kit. What we need is someone who is talented with light. You’ll have all the paintbrushes you need, but you’ll need to know how to use them, and efficiently. We need the right person for the job. Whoever that person is, will be a go to person for future paid work.
