A boy tries to mend his broken family at the holidays before his grandfather passes away, only to create further discord.
ROLES:
[GIORGIO MANCINI] 18 to 24 years old, male. Smaller build. On the brink of graduating high school and stepping out into the world; Giorgio is charismatic and clever, yet trapped in his own home; desperate for more connection in his family life, Giorgio seeks unity through whatever means necessary. LEAD [VINCENT MANCINI] 35 to 55 years old, male. Larger build. Strong presence. An independent, calculated investment banker, Vincent prefers quiet time away the chaos of work; when shoving money at a problem doesn’t cause it to dissipate, Vincent’s steadfast demeanor falls away, leaving a fiery interior. LEAD [GRANDMA ELIZA MANCINI] 55 to 80 years old, female. Smaller stature, tough exterior. A tough retired teacher, Grandma’s love is shielded away after being forced to take the reins of the family; she endures maintaining the family politics and her husband’s legacy, but at cost to her own time. LEAD [MARCIA MANCINI] 18 to 30 years old, female. Smaller stature. Recently graduated, Marcia is caring, yet always cautious; she endures the drama to be the mediator between groups, but tries to avoid confrontations when possible. SUPPORTING [UNCLE DOMINICK MANCINI] 30 to 45 years old, male. Larger build. Unemployed hothead Dominick believes the world is out to get him; he takes after his brother, Vincent, except for in the motivation department. SUPPORTING [AUNT VIVI MANCINI] 35 to 50 years old. Female. Despite marrying into the drama, Vivi was born for it, quick to take sides and attack conflict head on, her temper only matched by her tackiness. SUPPORTING” [GRANDPA RAFAEL MANCINI] 55 to 85 years old, male. Larger build, but worn. Restaurant owner Rafael is tough, focused, a devoted chef; cancer has worn his body and spirit down, exposing the heart he kept hidden for decades.
