Casting for episodes 2 and 3 of “Dear Life, You Suck!” a drama-comedy web series about six best friends living in Philly who struggle to navigate life in their mid to late 20s. Synopsis: Attempting to find their place in the world they fight through dreams deferred, disappointments, family tradition, mental health, and marriage in hopes of achieving the lives they dreamed of. Production states: “An ensemble series about that awkward stage in life when you find yourself stuck. You have no clue how you got there. And you have no idea where to start to get unstuck. The series follows these people on their journey of getting unstuck.

The web series is based on a short film ‘Dear Life, You Suck! Journal Entry One.’ That premiered at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. As well as screened at Reelblack’s Film screening and Philm Factory’s Film Lounge.” Episodes 2 and 3 follow the pilot ep: They Lied to Us. Which was screened at the Ritz Theater a part of 3 Piece Production showcase in 2021.

Shoots for episode 2 are weekends in April 2022 in Philadelphia, PA. Episode 3 also two weekends currently looking at June for potential dates. Note: There will be rehearsal table read and cast meetups via Zoom and google hangout.

Compensation & Contract Details
Deferred PayFood will be provided. Production states: We’re shooting episodes 2 and 3 while applying for grants and film festivals with episode 1. With hopes of getting partnerships and funding for the rest of the series. This is completely an independent production. All I have is a vision and I need the right people to help share that vision.”That way we can get eyes, find partnerships or self distribute.
