Cast Needed for Micro-Budget Web-series in Philly Area (NON-UNION)

Looking for cast members for our story of three Black women, between ages 40 – 60, who have each been touched by HIV. Filming will be in December 2022 and January 2023 around the Philadelphia area (Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware counties).

NOTE: THIS IS A MICRO-BUDGET PRODUCTION FILMING FRIDAY EVENINGS THROUGH SUNDAY.

This is a PAID opportunity for the following characters:

PRINCIPAL CAST:

Dr. Miriam Dutton, 50s – ALREADY CASTED

Celestia Davis, Black female, 40s
A social media lifestyle influencer and author who is on her way to the fame and celebrity she craves. She is married to photographer, Lennox Davis, and after several unsuccessful attempts, they are expecting their first child. Her perfect life is interrupted with a diagnosis that will make her re-evaluate everything.

Victoria Curtis, Black trans-woman, 40s-50s
Ready to get out of her own way, and take control of her life. She is an aspiring baker who has lived with HIV for many years and her dream of owning her own bakery is becoming real. She is on a journey of self-acceptance, forgiveness, and being open to love.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:

Lennox Davis, Black male, 40s
A photographer, husband to Celestia Davis, and expectant dad.

Mayor Chad Warwick, Black male, 50s-60s
Mayor of Philadelphia, responsible for the closing of an important community center run by Dr. Miriam Dutton. Also her former love interest.

Arden Smith, Black male, 40s-50s
Nurse-practitioner who is also a brand strategist. He is hired to help Victoria with her business venture but soon learns he has found his soulmate.

Rena Slickman, female – any ethnicity, 40s-60s
CFO at the community center and Miriam’s confidante and cheerleader . She sees the bigger picture of opportunity beyond the community center and works to get Miriam on board.
