Award-winning documentary filmmaker seeks interns to help with distribution, marketing, and impact strategy for the independent film Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round. Ain’t No Back reveals the forgotten story of an unprecedented interracial civil rights protest, the first collaboration between a Black student group and a white community to protest segregation. The film has screened in more than 15 festivals so far and is just getting started. Likely PBS broadcast in February 2026.

Interns needed to help with distribution research, social media campaign, marketing materials, planning for teachers’ and discussion guides, grant proposals, etc. We are looking for reliable self-starters, with strong people and writing skills, who are conscientious and eager to learn about documentary distribution. Candidates should be available 8 hours per week, and be comfortable working independently. Most work is remote with some in-person meetings. Please be able to receive school credit for your participation. More information at www.aintnoback.com.

Please send a cover letter and resume to distribution@aintnoback.com.
