Brielle – The new girl at Parkside Elementary who struggles with reading. 9 years old, low self-esteem, quiet, shy, African American female.

Ms. Tiffany – The 4th grade reading teacher. 30-40 years old, encouraging, affirming, African American female.

TJ – Brielle’s older brother. 12-13 years old, protective, African American male.

Cynthia – Brielle’s mother. Late 20’s to mid 30’s, African American female.

Tim – Brielle’s father. Late 20’s to mid 30’s, African American male.

Tanisha – The class bully. 9 years old, attitude, disruptive, African American female.

Looney – The school’s librarian. 40’s, whimsical, charismatic, quirky, eccentric, Caucasian male.

Dr. Analphabetic – The ruthless and heartless evil villain who possesses a great disdain for literacy, male

Hannibal – Charming and charismatic yet deceitful and manipulative, one of Dr. Analphabic’s workers, male. 20’s- 40s

Shevil – Calculated and introspective, one of Dr. Analphabic’s workers, female. 20’s- 40s
