Actors Needed

Non-Union Actors needed for a short film. This will be a 30 minute short called ‘Labor Day’ a early 80s Slasher spoof. All characters will be around the age of 30, actors should preferably be aged between 25-35 but it won’t make or break you. The characters Nick and Brandon have already been cast so when they are mentioned in the descriptions that is why. In your email please include which role(s) you would like to audition for, headshot, resume, why you think you would be good for the role and a reel if you want. The project will be filmed primarily in the Yardley area so you must be able to get yourself to shooting locations. Filming will take place on weekends between late March through late April so you must be available then, we will only need to shoot for a few days depending on various availability. Chris: (preferably African-American) Friend of Nick and Brandon, typical straight guy who can be kind of a douche which will be used for comedic purposes.

Emma: (race doesn’t matter) Friends with the guys, keeps it platonic with them, so she could be gay but that part is not explored, it is not important to the plot.

Richard: (race doesn’t matter) Not liked by anyone, despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with him and wants to do better for the world, wants revenge on the group for making fun of him.

Stacy: (race doesn’t matter) Stereotypical dumb sexy girl who gets killed early in the film, don’t worry there is no nudity but you must be willing to wear revealing outfits (sorry but it is an 80s style horror flick)

Penus Davis: (race doesn’t really matter but must be of light complexion) Nick’s cousin who just wants to relax and have some BBQ.

Side Note – Even though the job is paid the budget is very low and payment will be minimal, basically just covering the cost to get to locations, lunches will also be provided.
