Deck of Cards Entertainment is seeking passionate and dedicated crew members for the short film Laundry, written and produced by Alterik Miller. This project is inspired by true events and delves into themes of love and resilience within a family. Filming takes place on Saturday and Sunday in Glassboro, NJ.
We’re looking to fill the following roles:
Positions Needed:
Production Assistants (PAs): Energetic and versatile individuals who can assist with various tasks on set, from helping with setup to supporting different departments.
Grip: A skilled individual to work closely with the Director of Photography to set up lighting and rigs, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
Gaffer: A lighting expert who can shape the film’s visual aesthetic by managing the lighting crew and equipment.
Sound Mixer/Boom Operator: Someone with a keen ear for capturing crisp, high-quality audio on set, managing sound levels, and ensuring clean dialogue recordings.
About the Film: Laundry follows the emotional journey of Bree and Darius, a couple in their mid-30s who are coping with the trauma of nearly losing their son, Hunter. As they navigate their grief and blame, they find themselves growing apart, yet ultimately rediscover their love and strength together. Through this tender and raw portrayal, Laundry explores how life’s unexpected tragedies can shake the foundation of a family, but also offers a path to healing and reconciliation.
