Project Description:
“Just a Whisper” is a comedic audio drama that explores the mysteries and quirky occurrences in the small town of Ravenwood. The story follows journalist Alex Turner as he returns to his hometown to uncover its secrets through his podcast. The show combines elements of mystery, comedy, and supernatural intrigue.
1. Alex Turner (Narrator/Protagonist)
Description: Early 30s, male. A curious, witty journalist who uses humor to navigate the strange and unsettling events in Ravenwood. He hosts “Whispers in the Dark” podcast and is determined to uncover the town’s secrets.
2. Dr. Evelyn Harper (Historian)
Description: Late 40s, female. An intelligent, slightly eccentric historian with a dry sense of humor. She’s passionate about uncovering the truth and provides crucial support and information to Alex.
3. Detective Maria Hayes (Town Detective)
Description: Mid 40s, female. A pragmatic, skeptical detective with a sardonic sense of humor. Initially dismissive of Alex’s investigation, she becomes an ally, providing assistance and comic relief.
4. Casey (Café Worker)
Description: Early 20s, non-binary/queer. A quirky, laid-back barista with a knack for making snarky comments. Casey enjoys the small-town gossip and has a laissez-faire attitude towards the strange occurrences in Ravenwood.
5. Mr. Thompson (Old Resident)
Description: Late 70s, male. A wise, nostalgic retired town historian with a penchant for storytelling. He shares eerie stories and helps Alex connect the dots in his investigation.
6. Antagonist (Conspiracy Leader)
Description: Mid 50s, male or female. A charismatic, cunning character with a sinister edge. They are deeply involved in the town’s mysteries and conspiracies, hiding their true intentions behind a respectable façade.
