About the Project:
GOOD BOY is a dark humor drama that explores the peculiar and transformative journey of a man who, overwhelmed by the hardships of life, finds solace and enlightenment in the unique decision to live as a dog for the rest of his days. This thought-provoking and unconventional narrative challenges societal norms and delves into themes of identity, acceptance, and the search for happiness. Our passionate team of student filmmakers is committed to bringing this intriguing story to life, and we are seeking talented local actors to join our cast.
Role Description:
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic local actors, aged 21-29, from all backgrounds, to bring the characters of GOOD BOY to life. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your acting skills and gain experience working on a unique and compelling student film project.
Available Roles:
Lead Role: A man in his late 20s who, disillusioned with life, decides to transition into living as a dog. This character requires a wide emotional range and the ability to convey dark humor.
Supporting Role 1: A friend of the lead character who is both skeptical and supportive, providing a mix of comic relief and genuine concern. Age 21-29.
Supporting Role 2: A quirky neighbor who becomes an unexpected ally in the lead character’s transformation journey. Age 21-29.
Supporting Role 3: A love interest who struggles to understand the lead character’s choice, adding emotional depth to the story. Age 21-29.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the director and fellow actors to develop a deep understanding of your character.
Attend rehearsals and filming sessions as scheduled.
Bring creativity and dedication to the role, contributing to the overall vision of the film.
Participate in promotional activities related to the film, if needed.
Qualifications:
Previous acting experience (theater, film, or other) is preferred but not required.
Ability to memorize lines and deliver them with authenticity and emotion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Passion for storytelling and performing arts.
