The read hearing is a 7 page short about A woman who was taken almost 19 years ago when she was pregnant with her son by a killer who is both blind and hard of hearing; has to escape with her now young adult son with their hearing and sight being turned into their greatest weakness. The mother and son duo have to navigate while being blindfolded and also figure out how the masked kidnapper is taking away the sound.
Planning to film sometime in February in Philadelphia. Dates and location TBD based on crew and cast schedules. This is a volunteer project food will be provided and this is also an opportunity to build your resume.
Cora(women in her late 20’s-mid 40’s mixed ethnicity, African American, caucasian) Cora an over protective nurturing mother helping her son escape. She seeks comfort in her christianity. Must be comfortable filming with a blindfold on for most of the film. Must be comfortable playing the role of a captured woman. One of the scenes require her to be in an oversized t shirt and shorts. This character will be blindfolded for most of the film.
