Greater Philadelphia Film Office

“A Little Blue” is a queer musical student film about self-hate and toxic relationships, produced at the University of the Arts. We are seeking leading talent local to Philadelphia.

ROLE: Red

AGE: 18 – 24

VOCAL RANGE: Baritone – Tenor

ETHNICICITY: Any

DESCRIPTION: Red is the epitome of the narcissistic romantic partner. He’ll stab you in the heart, but with one smile all is forgiven. He’ll feed you crumbs of attention, but you’ll gladly devour them. He’ll show he’s confident and unbothered, but it’s a facade to mask how broken and dangerous he is. Truly, he’s a bottom’s worst nightmare. We’re looking for someone that oozes charisma & can sing decently well. (Note: Though this character is bisexual and in a gay relationship during most of the film, none of the scenes require physical contact. Also note that you will need to be able to sing a bit for this audition.)

LOCATIONS: All shooting will take place at the University of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia PA.

DATES: Tentatively, rehearsals will take place on the week of Nov 5th, audio recording & shooting will take place on the week of Nov 12h through the 19th. Actors will only be needed on select days of those weeks.

COMPENSATION: Flexible rate of $125 to $200. Actual shooting will only take place for 1 -2 days, with the remaining days allotted for rehearsals, reshoots, and recordings of vocals. Payment may be *slightly* deferred. Contact us for any questions regarding payment.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Actors who have a reel, resume, and singing ability will be highly favored.
