Greater Philadelphia Film Office

Duffers is looking for an assistant editor to help review and finalize edits. This is comedy with passionate sound design, and the average length of each work is about 4 minutes or less.

95% of the editing has already been completed, but we need an assistant editor to help complete the remaining 5 percent. I would like to sit down and review 15 sketches. I have to trim a few of them, but because my plate is piling up, I could use a co-pilot behind the wheel with me.

I’m the director and primary editor. I am limited in certain areas of editing and that is where you come in. I need a right hand man that can review specific areas of my edits and collaborate in selecting and photoshopping a thumbnail.

We already have a sound mixer to deal with all concerns audio related, so our main focus would be- color correcting, title and key frame fine tuning, transitions( rare) and thumbnails.

Also we have subscriptions for motion array plugins and fx templates- however I am not familiar with using Adobe After Effects so if you are good enough to at least manipulate pre made templates- you are our guy.

At the minimum the scope of work we need help with involves – titles, color correcting and thumbnail creation with Photoshop. But I am very much interested in some creative changes and adjustments when necessary. Best idea wins, so it is super important that we share a fun dynamic and working relationship. Also, in the beginning of each project it is important that you are comfortable working together in person so we can combine resources, exchange files, and solve problems in real time. Then we can work remote.

The person hired can expect to collaborate with the sound mixer, project manager for scheduling, and myself the creator. They must be able to use Adobe Premiere Pro and work within the Adobe suite. Basic experience with Adobe After Effects is highly encouraged. Photoshop experience is a must because we will be creating quality thumbnails.

Please email duffersdeluxe@gmail.com and provide your name, reel of your work, and some information about yourself. For example, the aspect of filmmaking you are most passionate about and where you would like to see yourself in five years? We are young, hungry and driven, it is going to be a grind but a well marketed planned and team effort focused grind. I look forward to hunting together.

This is a paid opportunity and we look forward to hearing from you and adding a new member to the family.

Ps. if you’re 200% interested put 200% in the subject box. I’ll interview you first.

Cheers
