  1. Production Inventory Technician:

Busy TV and multimedia production company seeks an experienced inventory manager and/or gear technician that will help maintain and manage the in-house inventory and distribution of production equipment to our multiple local and remote productions. The ideal candidate is extremely organized and detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experience with databases, spreadsheets, inventory management systems, and fluency in all relevant camera, lighting, grip, and audio equipment is strongly desired. Full-time Staff position, directly reports to the Production Equipment Manager in the Gear Department located in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
Assists with the check-in and check-out of all field production equipment in the WebCheckout (WCO) inventory management system
Works with Microsoft’s TBarCode plugin to create barcode-scannable labels and software profiles for all equipment as it is entered into WCO
Tracks the value and status of all equipment in WCO and updates accordingly
Creates and maintains repair tickets in WCO for damaged and offlined equipment
Ability to identify inefficiencies in current inventory systems and provide recommendations to streamline workflows
Responsible for maintaining multiple databases, spreadsheets, and records – including, but not limited to: L&D reports, cost-reporting, equipment allocation spreadsheets, production schedule trackers, and creating/maintaining active gear lists with multiple Production Managers and Producers
Provides purchase recommendations to the Production Equipment Manager in maintaining expendables and equipment replacements or upgrades
Assists with the resale or recycling of old equipment

Production Equipment and Dangerous Goods Shipping:
Shipping, tracking, and logging of all equipment as it moves to and from shoots remotely and/or across the country
Knowledge of packing and preparing equipment for both ground shipping and commercial air travel
Dangerous Goods Certification training will be provided if not already certified in order to ship lithium batteries in compliance with the US DOT Electronic Code of Federal Regulations for Hazardous Materials
Collaborate with Producers and Production Managers on the logistics of their equipment and media shipments
Ensure that shipments, carry-on, and checked baggage comply with Federal mandates
Maintain a stock of shipping supplies to keep up with demand

Production Support & Services:
Assists with the support, maintenance, and packing of television production cameras, audio, lighting, drones, and wireless video equipment
Assists with gear drop-offs and pickups as needed, including van load-ins and load outs
Ability to effectively manage time and remain organized while working on multiple projects with tight deadlines
Working knowledge of all common production formats and technical specs, including an understanding of recording codecs and data rates
Occasionally interfaces with third-party, off-site equipment vendors and rental houses

Salary: $1,200 – $1,500 per week
