Recasting for episode three of “Dear Life, You Suck!” a dramedy series about six best friends living in Philly who struggle to navigate life in their mid to late 20s. Attempting to find their place in the world they fight through dreams deferred, disappointments, family tradition, mental health, and marriage in hopes of achieving the lives they dreamed of. Production states: “An ensemble series about that awkward stage in life when you find yourself stuck. You have no clue how you got there. And you have no idea where to start to get unstuck. The series follows these people on their journey of getting unstuck.

Role Description: A former elementary school teacher turned ballet dancer. Savannah is a dreamer, optimistic, warm, intelligent, sense of humor, and open-minded; a current student at the University of the Arts majoring in dance; Savannah is a dependable wife and mother-to-be. Savannah and her husband David face another setback after losing their home. They are forced to move in with their parents. Together they’re a young couple at a crossroads in life dealing with the struggles of building a marriage and following their dreams.

2. Joanna Alexander

Role Description:a retired college professor. Joanna is calm, grounded, insightful, and youthful. She’s a native of Philly. Heavily involved in the arts scene in the city. She’s a loving wife and mother.

Pay depends on project outcome. Food will be provided. The plan is to shoot episode 2 and 3 while applying for grants and film festivals with episode 1. With hopes of getting partnerships and funding for the rest of the series. This is completely an independent production. All I have is a vision and I need the right people to help share that vision. That way we can get eyes, find partnerships or self distribute through crowdfunding.

I’m looking for passionate, hardworking, creative, flexible, and reliable people to work on this film. Experience is required if you don’t have much experience you are encouraged to apply.
