Program Overview:
Lil Filmmakers is a West Philadelphia multimedia hub for young professionals with the talent and drive to have a career in the entertainment industry. Lil’ Filmmakers is a digital media arts collective that serves emerging storytellers 11-25 years old from all disciplines of media at any stage in their craft. Our work is built on one belief: great storytelling can change the world. We offer unique immersive experiences with three focal points: professional, personal, and artistic evolution. From our programs to our public workshops, we invest in our storytellers to make certain that their new productions and projects are high quality and transition them to the next stage of their career. This is a paid part-time position under the Working for Success program, candidates must be a Philadelphia resident between the ages of 20-24 to qualify. This program will run from November 2021- May 2022.Ideal candidates will be a creative thinker who sees value in high-level production and execution of projects. We are looking for someone with a passion for storytelling, has grit, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Overview: The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for the management and curation of media content across all platforms. The Social Media Coordinator is a self-starter who is able to work in fast-paced environments. They are detail oriented, organized, and come to the table with ideas that will maximize efficiency of projects worked on. As a member of the communication team, the Social Media Coordinator works collaboratively with the creative, administrative, and executive teams to curate content and media outputs that engage diverse audiences. Lil Filmmakers will provide academic credit if applicable.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage social media accounts
Define benchmarks that align with the organization goals and mission
Enact social media strategies and campaigns that engage target audience
Generate, post, and schedule content daily
Respond to inquiries and messages received on media platforms
Escalate issues, messages, and inquires to the appropriate teams
Review, analyze, and record engagement trends
Education and Qualifications:
At least two- three years of social media experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be a resident of Philadelphia
Strong research skills
Adhere to strict deadlines
Good organizational and communication skills
