Independent filmmaker and MoMA artist Andrew Repasky McElhinney is casting TWEENS (ages 8 to 14) to play tough, poor Philly kids in Super 8MM late 80s flashback footage for his new movie, Casual Encounters: Philadelphia True Crime Confessions.

The shoot is Sun March 29, 2020 with a rain date of Sun Apr 5, 2020.

The shoot will be between 10:00AM-3:00 PM. Performers and their parents/guardians will meet up at the Wallmart parking lot at 2200 Wheatsheaf Ln (by Aramingo Ave), Philadelphia, PA 19137. There the production will have a yellow school bus to take everyone around to four local locations. It is critical that performers arrive at the meet up before their call time. Performers may leave once their work is completed.

The flashback footage we’re creating is set in the late 1980s. The characters are poor children, who are raising themselves (their parents absent). We’ll be improving with the kids, hanging out in small groups, playing kick the can, etc. Please do not get haircuts before this shoot. Day of shoot try to look as unkempt as possible. In the footage we will create on Super 8MM film, in our show the kids have cut school for the afternoon. Given these guidelines, please email us a picture of your performers possible outfit choices (no logos, nothing too new looking).

Please email us the name of your performer as you would like it to be featured on the credits as well as your name and cell phone information. Upon accepting this casting, the director Andrew will reach out to every parent/guardian.
